I have heard about a beautiful dead body. And, that was of Alexander the Great. But what was beautiful about his dead body? It was his ability to give a message to this world, through his body. And, the message was great. The message was his whole learning; what he had learnt through his life. That is why even his dead body was beautiful – it contained a beautiful message. When Alexander the Great was dying; he realized that now there is no way to survive. He was certain about his death. So, he called his ministers and told them that during his last journey, the journey to cremation ground, both of his hands should be kept open. So that, people could see that even a person like him; even Alexander the Great is leaving this world empty handed, with nothing to acquire; not a single penny. He realized in his last days that he wasted his life: wasted just in accumulating lands, in accumulating wealth. But finally he was going, he has to go and he could carry nothing with him....

Have you seen a robot? How it functions? How it understands? To get a robot to work correctly, you have to make a proper communication with it, so that it can understand what function you want to perform with its help. This purpose of communication is done with a program. A program is a set of commands, which make the robot understand what it has to do. For example, if you want the robot to wash your clothes, you have to make it understand, with the help of appropriate program, or if you want the robot to make tea for you, then you have to provide a program that can make a robot understand the methodology of making tea and then it can perform. अनुवादक की कलम से प्रिय पाठकों, नमस्कार! "The god factor" पुस्तक के सन्दर्भ में लिखते वक़्त मेरे मन में एक हिचक हो रही है कि मैं इस अनुदित पुस्तक का अनुवादक हूँ, अतः इस पुस्तक की प्रशंसा को आप क्या समझेंगे? इस प्रश्न के साथ मैं थोड़ा सशंकित हूँ। किन्तु अगर आप ध्यान दें तो आप पाएँगे कि मैं इस पुस्तक को पढ़ने वाला एक पाठक पहले हूँ, अनुवादक बाद में, अतः इस सफाई के आगे मैं इस पुस्तक पर लिख रहा हूँ। मैं इस पुस्तक की समीक्षा करने नहीं जा रहा। क्योंकि पुस्तक की समीक्षा के लिए जिस कोटि की शास्त्र निपुणता, साहित्यिक सामर्थ्य, विशाल ज्ञान से परिपूर्ण पाण्डित्य और आचार्यत्व चाहिए वो मुझमें  नहीं है। मैं मात्र एक पाठक की दृष्टि से कहना चाहता हूँ कि "द गॉड फैक्टर" एक पुस्तक नहीं, एक कुन्जी है। एक ऐसी कुन्जी जो जब कभी भी चिन्ता, आवेश या वासना घेरे तो एक पुस्तक पढ़ने के वक़्त ही जो अचेतन में एक अभिप्रेरणा संचित हो जाती है, उस भाव को महत्व देते हुए, मनोदशा के उन क्षणों में "द गॉड फैक्टर" के पन्ने जरूर उलट लेने चाहिए। यह वाक्य आपको अतिशयोक्ति लग सकती है। लग सकता है...

Once, Bodhidharma reached China. The King was waiting at the border to welcome him. He was a popular man. But, the King was surprised, “what type of man is this?"
